Overview

Robot handling for multi-side and 360° marking

Workstation Robotic puts a robot inside the enclosure, so components are rotated, tilted or flipped and marked on more than one face in a single cycle. It handles three-sided marking and full 360° circumferential marking — shank tools, for instance — and suits either large, heavy components or high volumes of small parts held in multi-position fixtures. The robot sits inside the station's own safety circuit, and the whole system is Class 1.

Magic Mark with robot control

Magic Mark's architecture gives direct access to the laser and its peripherals — the station, the rotary axis and so on. On this station two plug-ins extend it to the robot: Sockets provides the interface that carries control commands between robot and software, and Control runs the robot's whole program sequence from inside Magic Mark.

Programming is available internally in VB.NET (WinWrap Basic) within Magic Mark V3, or externally in C#.NET through Visual Studio against the class library.

Class 1, fully automated

Workstation Robotic is a fully automated Class 1 system and needs no additional safety equipment. The robot is fully integrated into the station's safety circuit, so a fault stops the cell rather than just the laser.

Extraction and filter systems for the fumes produced during laser processing are available as an accessory, with the connection for an external unit built into the station.
