Overview

Compact Class 1 station for small to medium runs

Workstation Classic is the compact enclosure for marking smaller components in small to medium quantities. A motorised Z-axis is fitted as standard, so parts of different heights can be brought into focus without re-fixturing, and it takes any of the ACI lasers. As a turnkey Class 1 solution it needs no additional safety equipment — you stand at it and run it. Where the parts are larger, the Classic XL variant adds working area and marking field.

Features

  • Combines with any ACI laser
  • Integrated focus finder
  • Motorised Z-axis
  • Integrated control panel with membrane keypad
  • Large laser safety window
  • Electric door
  • Integrated work-area lighting
  • Connection for an external extraction and filtration system
  • Marking field size varies with the laser type and lens selected
  • XL variant for additional working space

Workstation Classic XL

The XL variant offers a larger working area for larger components, and the greater working distance opens up further processing options when paired with a suitable lens. Its laser safety window is generously sized, which makes the marking process easier to monitor.

Optional accessories

  • Rotation axis, for marking right around the circumference of a workpiece
  • Vision system (AOI, CPM) for camera-supported marking
  • Code and ID reading systems (code reader, tool reader)
  • Type plate handling system
  • Workpiece holders — prism device, changing device
  • External laser extraction with control line and extraction hose
  • Desktop or industrial PC

Magic Mark control software

Every ACI system is driven by Magic Mark, the supplier's own marking software. It handles text, graphics, barcodes and Data Matrix codes, serial numbers and logos, and will mark right around a cylindrical part without a rotary attachment.

Operator permissions are set per user group, so a machine on the shop floor can be locked to running jobs while programming stays with the people who own it. On an automated line Magic Mark runs unattended and exchanges job data with your existing systems; plug-ins add code generation and scripting where a process needs them.

Class 1 as supplied

Workstation Classic is a turnkey Class 1 system, so it guarantees operator safety without any additional safety equipment on your side.

Extraction and filter systems for the fumes produced during laser processing are available as an accessory; the station has the connection for an external unit built in. The bench design is ergonomically arranged, which matters on a station an operator stands at all day.
