Highest-end edge rounding

The SMD-3 P Edition is the edge-rounding specialist of the SMD-3 family. Slag is removed mechanically rather than ground off, which takes cost out of tooling, and a large, soft contact roller compensates for warpage and thickness tolerance so the result stays even across a part that is not perfectly flat. Grinding runs cool, with almost no heat entering the workpiece, and edges are rounded to a 2 mm radius on material from 1 mm to 120 mm thick.

Four configurations are available — SMD 335 REE, SMD 345 REER, SMD 335 DRE and SMD 345 DREE — differing in the number and type of units, and so in power draw and weight. The specification table below covers all four.
