Two-sided deburring and edge rounding in a single pass

The SBM-XS is LISSMAC's answer to small-part finishing: it deburrs and rounds the edges on both faces of a component in one pass, on a footprint compact enough to sit alongside the machine that cut the parts. An integrated turning station flips each part inside the machine, so there is no second pass and no operator handling between sides. Finished parts are returned to the front of the machine and collected in a box, ready for the next operation.

Both sides finished, one operation

Small laser and punched parts are the ones that cost the most to finish by hand — they are fiddly to hold, easy to damage and slow to turn over. The SBM-XS takes that work off the bench: parts are loaded on the operator side, deburred and edge-rounded top and bottom, then returned to the front of the machine.

Directionless machining means the finish does not carry a grain direction, so parts look consistent regardless of how they were fed.

What it changes on the shop floor

  • Magnetic table sized for parts from 25 × 25 × 1 mm up to 200 × 200 × 15 mm (geometry-dependent)
  • Vacuum table for parts from 45 × 45 × 1 mm up to 200 × 200 × 15 mm (geometry-dependent)
  • No time-consuming turning of parts and no second pass
  • The turning station swings away, so parts longer than 200 mm can still be deburred
  • A higher level of automation makes the process economical and repeatable on large batches

  • Dry deburring process — no chemical additives, unlike tumbling
