LISSMAC Metal Processing
Edge rounding on both sides in one operation
Overview
The SBM-M S2 rounds the edges on both faces of a sheet in a single pass, on material from 0.5 mm up to 50 mm thick. Nothing has to be turned over and run through a second time, which LISSMAC put at up to 60% less processing time than a one-sided grinding machine. Interior and exterior contours are rounded at the same time, and because the process is dry, protective foil on the sheet survives it intact.
LISSMAC's cross-machining principle drives the tools across the full working width rather than along it. The practical effect is that the tools wear evenly from one side of the machine to the other, so the last part off a long run is finished to the same standard as the first.
