The RT400 is a rotary indexing table that is designed to allow laser marking of workpieces using a process that requires virtually no interruptions. The RT400 can be loaded and unloaded while the laser marking process is still in progress, and the time this saves is a boon to series production.
The RT400 is a compact rotary indexing workstation designed to increase throughput in laser marking applications. Featuring two loading positions, it allows operators to remove marked parts and load new ones while the laser processes the next item, ensuring maximum efficiency. With safety systems, ergonomic operation, and compatibility with a wide range of ACI laser markers, the RT400 is built for industrial marking environments requiring speed, precision, and operator protection.
Rotary indexing table with two loading positions, rotating 180° between machining areas.
Single-hand operation via a simple touch button for fast and intuitive control.
Integrated programmable Z-axis, enabling marking of workpieces with variable heights.
Transparent partition with laser safety window allows clear process monitoring while protecting the operator.
Light barrier safety system — if triggered, all processes stop immediately; restart via start button.
Manual or automatic modes selectable through a key-operated switch.
Side door access to simplify system setup and adjustments.
Compatible with external extraction systems for clean and safe operation.
Designed as a tabletop system with digital I/O for rotation control and presence detection sensor integration.
Properties
Featuring two loading positions, the RT400 rotary indexing table rotates 180° at a time to the machining positions. During the laser marking process, once an article has been marked, it can be removed from the laser station and replaced with an unmarked article. A simple touch button allows the process to be controlled effortlessly with one hand.
An integrated light barrier affords additional protection to users. If the light barrier is triggered, all processes will stop. The process will resume when the user presses the start button. A transparent partition with a laser safety window allows for optimal monitoring of the marking process. A key-operated switch enables the user to switch between manual and automatic operation as required.
The RT400 has a programmable Z-axis, which enables workpieces with height variations to be marked. The customer’s specific requirements coupled with the application in question determine which laser marker is most appropriate in each case.
Software
The laser system is controlled using our proprietary Magic Mark marking software. This software enables workpieces to be marked with text, graphics, codes (data matrix codes, barcodes), serial numbers and logos. It can also be used to achieve uniform markings around the perimeter of workpieces with rotational symmetry. An intelligent user privilege management system facilitates the creation of different user groups. This way, the laser system can be adjusted to cater for the user’s specific requirements. When using the laser system in automated production lines, fully automated operation – including data exchange with various data sources – can be achieved without any difficulties. Optionally, plugins such as the code or script module can be used to add extra functions to the Magic Mark software.
