ALV Laser Welder

The ALV Laser Welder is a compact device that can be set up in any work area. It’s best suited for use in micro and deposition welding in tool and mold manufacturing, in sensor production and medical technology.

ALV – Compact Laser Welder

The ALV Laser Welder is a compact, ergonomic, and highly versatile welding system designed for micro and deposition welding. With its closed, laser-safe chamber and precision movement system, it is ideal for tool and mold manufacturing, medical technology, and sensor production. Supporting workpieces up to 50 kg, the ALV combines operator comfort, advanced automation options, and flexibility to adapt to a wide range of welding tasks.

Features

  • Compact design — can be set up in virtually any work area.

  • Closed, laser-safe chamber for Class 1 safety in standard production environments.

  • Convertible design — closed system can be switched to open mode for larger or longer workpieces.

  • Ergonomic workstation with relaxed arm and shoulder positioning and generous legroom for fatigue-free operation.

  • Large vertical movement range for processing larger components.

  • Three linear movement axes (X, Y, Z) with a Z-axis load capacity of up to 50 kg.

  • Optional rotary axis for precise welding of cylindrical parts.

  • Joystick control for manual axis movement or WINLaserNC software for automated operation.

  • Simple CNC programming for 4-axis fully automatic welding, ideal for small-batch production.

  • Wide laser source options — Nd:YAG or fiber lasers, available from 100 W to 450 W.

Note: The ALV Laser Welder may have different configurations, which can be read in full detail by viewing the PDF.

The ALV Laser Welder is a compact device that can be set up in any work area. The laser welding process takes place in a closed, laser-safe working chamber and the movement system can process workpieces up to 50 kg at a high level of precision. The ALV Laser Welder is designed for use in micro and deposition welding in tool and mold manufacturing, in sensor production and medical technology.

The ergonomically optimised housing allows the user’s arms and shoulders to remain relaxed. It also offers plenty of leg room for comfort in the seat, allowing the user to work for extended periods without fatigue.

The ALV laser welder offers a large vertical movement range and doors that open wide so that larger workpieces can be welded. In just a few steps, this closed system can be converted to an open laser system for processing larger or longer components.

The ALV’s joystick moves the workpiece within the working chamber, or automation can be used. The large vertical motion range of the workbench also allows for welding on larger workpieces.

The ALV has three linear movement axes, and the vertical Z axis lifts up to 50 kg. A rotary axis for processing cylindrical parts is also available. The simple-to-program WINLaserNC software for 4 axes makes fully automatic welding for production of small batches possible.

The ALV Laser Welder is exceptionally useful, particularly in medical technology, the manufacture of sensors, and for smaller workpieces in tool and mold manufacture.

The ALV is available with a wide range of Nd: YAG or fiber laser sources. It provides laser power of 100 to 450 watts.

Why the ALV Stands Out

  • Compact and flexible — fits into small work areas while handling both small and moderately sized parts.

  • Adaptable system — convertible from a closed Class 1 setup to an open system for oversized components.

  • Precision handling — automated 4-axis programming ensures repeatable results for series production.

  • Operator comfort — ergonomically optimised for long welding sessions with minimal fatigue.

  • Versatile applications — perfectly suited for medical components, sensors, and fine tool/mold repair.

  • Multiple laser sources — choice of Nd:YAG or fiber technology ensures optimal performance for different materials.
