ALW Ergonomic Seated Workplace Laser Welders

The ALW seated workplace laser welders feature a spacious, closed, working chamber. Designed for working in repair welding, manufacture of tools and molds, welding of demanding material, manufacture of medical components and sensors, precision technology, and sheet metal processing.

ALW – Ergonomic Seated Workplace Laser Welders

The ALW Laser Welder is a seated workplace system designed with operator comfort, precision, and safety in mind. Featuring a spacious closed working chamber, large work plate, and ergonomic seating with adjustable footplate, the ALW enables technicians to perform welding tasks over long periods without fatigue. With laser powers ranging from 100 W to 300 W and advanced motion control, it is ideal for repair, deposition welding, and the production of tools, molds, and high-precision components.

Features

  • Ergonomic workstation with generous legroom and adjustable footplate for comfortable long-term use.

  • Closed, laser-secure chamber ensures Class 1 laser safety for normal production environments.

  • Large work plate for flexible positioning and movement of workpieces.

  • Joystick control for responsive manual operation, with direct axis movement.

  • Supports multiple operation modes — manual, semi-automatic (preset axis speed), or fully automatic via WINLaserNC software.

  • Multi-functional footswitch enables parameter adjustment or correction during welding without interrupting workflow.

  • Handles heavy loads — supports workpieces up to 350 kg on X, Y, and Z axes.

  • Optional tilt-able turntable for welding cylindrical parts.

  • Available laser powers:

    • 100–150 W: Ideal for repair and deposition welding on tools and molds.

    • 200–300 W: Suitable for demanding jobs on aluminium, titanium, precious metals, and sensitive alloys.

Note: The ALW Ergonomic Seated Workplace Laser Welders may have different configurations, which can be read in full detail by viewing the PDF.

The ALW seated workplace laser welders feature a spacious, closed, working chamber. Alpha Laser has placed great value on creating a seated workstation with plenty of leg room, allowing the welding technician to work in a relaxed and ergonomic position over long periods. This allows the user to focus comfortably on the welding task at hand without becoming uncomfortable.

The footplate can be adjusted to fit the individual preferences of each user and the multi-functional foot switch allows the laser parameters to be set or corrected as required for welding.

The ALW laser welder is equipped with a big work plate for positioning and moving the workpiece. The joystick for axis movement can be fixed anywhere on the work plate and the high-responsiveness of the system allows the axes to follow the joystick movement directly and exactly. Workpieces of up to 350 kg can be processed quickly and precisely on X, Y, or Z axes, either manually with the joystick, semi-automatic with preset axis speed or in fully automatic mode (with WINLaserNC software). An optional tilt-able turntable is available for welding cylindrical workpieces.

The closed, laser-secure working chamber makes the ALW a laser-safe machine, so it can be used in a normal production environment with a minimum of safety measures.

The ALW laser welder with 100 or 150 W is best suited for repair and deposit welding on tools and molds. The ALW with 200 or 300 W meets the increased demands of industries and trades-people to complete welding jobs on materials such as Aluminum, precious metals, Titanium, and sensitive alloys. The many strengths of the ALW laser welding system are demonstrated in work such as repair welding, manufacture of tools and molds, welding of demanding material, manufacture of medical components and sensors, precision technology, and sheet metal processing.

Why the ALW Stands Out

  • Ergonomic design — built for seated operation, allowing technicians to focus on precision welding without discomfort.

  • Flexible applications — supports tool and mold repair, deposition welding, sheet metal processing, and production of medical and precision components.

  • Laser safety — closed chamber design makes the ALW safe for standard production environments.

  • High load capacity — capable of processing large and heavy workpieces with ease.

  • Advanced control — joystick responsiveness, footswitch parameter adjustment, and CNC automation enable both precision and efficiency.
