The range of 3-roll bending machines offers numerous advantages. Parallelism of the side rolls is maintained via a torsion bar system connecting both ends of the side roll, avoiding the need for delicate or less reliable encoders. Rolls are powered by hydraulic motors and high-efficiency planetary gearboxes directly coupled to the rollers. The MG design, with rolls mounted on sealed bearings and minimal secondary components, reduces force dispersion caused by friction, providing higher reliability, greater load absorption, and improved side roll inclination, making it suitable for conical bending applications.

Side rolls move along planetary swing guides, a geometry that avoids the disadvantages of linear gears. This design enables hydraulic pumps to operate with lower flow motors, improving energy efficiency.

In the GE configuration, both roll movement and parallelism are electronically controlled. Two proportional electro-valves, two transducers, and a dedicated system ensure precision, stability, and repeatability under varying temperatures and conditions.

The GL configuration features side rolls moving along a linear oblique channel, reducing the space between rolls. The contact point with the sheet occurs over a shorter distance due to the narrower centre spacing, enabling bending of very small diameters and minimising flat edges. Parallelism is electronically controlled using two proportional electro-valves, digital-reading transducers, and a dedicated electronic control system, ensuring precise roll positioning over time regardless of temperature or mechanical wear.
